Another transfer in Braun Heights

Well today is the start of my 4th transfer here in the Braun Heights ward and this week we have made a lot of progress with people. Last Monday we were able to teach the "V" family (couple). The husband is less active and the wife is not a member, but she has mentioned that she does want to be baptized. So we started teaching her last Monday and they both came to church on Sunday which was amazing!!! She already has a lot of friends and so we are hoping for more progress! As well we met with "P" this week and so far she is doing very well and the only problem is that she does not want to stop smoking right now so we have a process ahead of us.
The new Elder in the apartment is Elder Craner from Idaho, he is pretty cool. This will be a fun transfer!!

Fear Factor eating....

Hola a todos! Elder Grosh and I will both be staying here in Braun Heights for this upcoming transfer! Number 4 here I come! This week went pretty well. We has a dinner with the "L" family and were able to share the Restoration with the non-member husband. He is super Catholic and so it was a little hard teaching him. He is really friendly and non-bashy (thank goodness) he just closes himself off. Even so it was a nice reminder for Sis. L and her mom. As well we met with "P" yesterday and had a great lesson about the Sabbath day and keeping it holy and coming to church next week. As well we met with these two guys; J and V. They were outside their house and we had spoken with J before and he loved it. So we shared the Restoration with them and we were not able to get them to commit to anything but they want us to stop by again.

Funny story for the week. We went to teach "P" last night and we show up at her mom's and they are eating baby eels....and well.... we had to try it.....
ANYWAYS Hope y'all have a great week!!! :)

Lessons, lessons, and more lessons....

Buenos días a todos! This week has been an amazing week!! We made some amazing progress with "N"; the daughter of less actives. We met with her twice and she has read from the Book of Mormon which has been awesome!! As well we were able to meet with L and W B and she as well has started to read from the Book of Mormon and has a lot of amazing questions. This week we met with JR and he will be able to come to church this upcoming week, which will be really exciting!! He has been doing really well and basically has been waiting to get off parole and then he should be able to get baptized really soon!
Some funny stories for the week. This happened last night. So one of the Elders that I lived with up in Round Rock was Elder Johnson. His family now lives here and he is serving his mission in Brasil. One of the sons told us that in the scriptures the word "bosom" would be used and he did not know that it meant "chest". So for the longest time he thought it was talking about the person's bottom. I could not stop laughing!

I hope you all have a great week!!

Prospero Ano Y Felicidad!!

Hola!!!! This week was a pretty good week! This last Monday we were able to meet with a couple that are less active and part member and Elder Grosh was able to build a relationship with the less active husband and talk about computer programming with him. Stuff about different languages like c, c++, kobal, python and so on. They are having us over for dinner this week and it will be a great opportunity to teach the wife who is super nice to us. As well we have a few other lessons that happened. On New Years Eve we found this man named Daniel who is a youth worker at his church. We have met with him twice so far and there is some hope for him. Last night he had us over to do a Bible study with some of the people from the church and so that was interesting haha. This week has been great and we are looking forward to next week!!
